Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

1 Peter 4:9 KJV

I admit it; I am a whiner. I used to be the poster child for tantrums for certain things in my life. The things that required me to stay ready wore me out. Opening your home to family and spiritual family can be a different task for some of us. After reading this scripture, I realized I was begrudging and didn't show gratitude for this unique gift.

This week's heart message is to those pressured to do things past your comfort zone.  I plan to make sure this fall season has some wins for me in the area of growth by being flexible and accommodating by the standard Peter refers to in chapter four, verse nine.   My space of grace is taking things slow, not rushing things, which causes me to feel overwhelmed; loving the opportunity God gives me to love others has a joy and satisfaction you can't describe.  I am choosing to love God, myself, my life, and all the things that come with it by being hospitable wherever I can.

Prompt  ❤️‍🔥

The fall is a season of warm and frequent gatherings. Prepare your heart and homes for moments of ministry. I want you to lean into hosting with a ministry mind and with joy.  Show your family how to live their lives rich and full of love and laughter by wearing this gift with graceful influence.  Reconnect with lost relationships and make amends if possible.  God requires us to forgive others so that we may be forgiven. If reconnection is possible, forgive and reconnect at your pace of healing. Whatever you do, refuse to carry that old baggage one more step than must. Don't allow performance pressure to rob you of joy, but lean into who you are as a gift to all you love and care for.

Prayer  🙏

Lord, bless my mind, heart, and life so that I can love more like you. I pray for peace during this season and ask for joy while I work to build and grow my family. Thank you for the courage to host well and the blessing of new memories. Let your light shine through me and give me strength. I will host well and with joy! In Jesus' name, Amen!
