Can I have your attention, please?

In a world full of beautiful distractions, we should stop and think: what would it take for God to get your attention?  Attention is one of the most expensive things we own. What you focus on, you become. Who has your ear has your future. Would God need to yell the warning phrase danger to get your full attention, or would you already be tapped in?

Could He whisper or show you an, 'I love you, and I'll never leave you.' Would that get your attention?  How much does your attention cost?  Do you have the ability to hear past the noise of past pain or today's trauma?

Fantasy entertainment is a powerful tool. It clouds truth and distorts reality for mere escape.  It's easier to cause doubt than to support a brutal truth. Fantasy allows the senses a reprieve from the harsh reality. To cause doubt, you have to pay for it. Some of the most significant costs will be intangible, so faith is intangible but weighty when activated.  Its power lies in its past tense form; it is finished.

Revelation 2:17

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

What I love about this biblical passage is that it beckons anyone with the ability to hear. It's an invitation to more. You then realize God is expecting you, waiting on you because he has something to say. When we hear "let him hear," we can understand that God is speaking to everyone.

Reading the "what the Spirit is saying to the church" is significant because the Holy Spirit was sent here by Jesus' Resurrection and return to heaven for us to have access to the throne of grace. Jesus' sinless death caused the spiritual veil God put between humanity and heaven after the fall in the Garden of Eden. We have access to hear God's voice and learn his truth that unlocks us from the darkness of ignorance. The presence of the Holy Spirit in your life sets you apart from the system of facades and fantasy. The truth is that Jesus' died for you and loves you with an eternal love that has the power to break into the earth's barrier and whisper his love and instruction for the help he knew you would need to live your life.

Throughout scripture, we can see God's conversation pattern, and if you zoom out, you might be able to see with the eyes of your heart and understand all the ways he's tried to get your attention to visit with you. Revelation 3:20 says, "Look, I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends."

Open the door and let Jesus into your lifetime with him. Watch how he makes his love and care for you trackable and traceable in every way you need. Never feel lonely or lost again!
